My goal for Superman II was the create the best version of the film without having directors fighting for majority credit. Because of this, I have credited both Richard Donner and Richard Lester as directors of the film. Taking the best of the theatrical cut and the best of the Donner cut, I worked to create the ultimate and conclusive version of Superman II.
