Without a doubt, this was the most difficult edit of the Verisimilitude Series for me. It was a gargantuan task of remastering the original version of Superman IV before Warner Bros. and Cannon Films cut nearly forty minutes for the film's theatrical release. Unfortunately, much of the original footage shot in 1987 has still not been released to the public and therefore, like the theatrical cut, this cut is incomplete. However, after reading through shooting scripts, re-writes, and cast recollections, I believe that I have created the closest possible representation of the original Superman IV. With remixed deleted scenes, fixed VFX coloring, and a few upgraded visual effects. I always try to style my fan-edits in ways that would be possible when the original film was released. So there are no full CG models or shots in this film. I sincerely hope you enjoy this fan-edit as much as I did while making it. It was a tough job but I am satisfied with the final product.
